Winter has arrived to the Cayuga Basin

Winter has finally arrived. This past week we had a few snowfalls that actually coated the ground and trees. There had been several prior teases of snow flurries but the ground was too warm for anything to stick around.

I took advantage of the snow covering and hiked along 6 mile creek southeast of Ithaca with my friend and fellow photographer, Matt.

Thanks for the comments. I just posted some amazing animal track images from a recent hike on a very cold morning.
